Calves

We brought our calves in from Grandpa’s house; Ayla has already named them Rocky Road, Chocolate, Vanilla, and Yogurt. I just love Rocky Road’s markings. They are all tame and friendly.

John has their pastures all set up so they’ll rotate through three one-acre lots throughout the summer. It makes me happy to think of them having so much food; how would it be to stand in food up to your belly?

I have been really enjoying your pic’s. I’m tempted to do the same, but I feel like that might be setting myself up for failure. How do you tell the difference between Vanilla and Yogurt?

That is a great question. I don’t tell the difference–the kids apparently can, and I suppose that’s all that matters!

It’s been fun to do the 365 thing, even though sometimes I’m a little late getting things on. I don’t sweat it too bad; I’m sure I’ll miss some days here and there.
